about

Maybe we are all haunted?

Not by ghosts, but haunted by memories, by missed opportunities, by what could have been, by relationships lost, by fear, by memories forgotten?

Without an agenda or pre-thought MENOWTHERETHEN (Mike Rowley and Kristian Jones) have created an EP of beauty and pain, of loss and hope, of a shared understanding of growing up inside, but always feeling on the outside, of the Black Country, where belonging and not belonging become one and the same.

Blending electronica and emotive vocals, familiar from 2019’s ‘Cease to Be Visible’ EP, ‘No Fun’ introduces live drums and bass, acoustic piano and brass to propel their sound to new heights, and depths. When physical manifestations of ghosts from the past revealed themselves unexpectedly and unexplainably, the EP took on a direction of its own and lyrically those ghosts can be heard here.

Maybe we are all haunted.
